Box container

The ASP container for lithium-ion batteries is suitable for the transport and storage of all types of lithium-ion batteries and cells mentioned in section 4.1.4.1 ADR (Packing Instructions).

The hot-dip galvanized container for lithium-ion batteries is certified as a steel box (4A) according to chapter 6.1 of the ADR agreement. The container does not require recertification during its lifecycle.

For lithium batteries, the packaging is certified according to 4.1.4.1 ADR for:

• Lithium batteries transported for disposal or recycling

• New batteries: lithium batteries produced in small series (up to 100 units) or prototypes transported for testing

• Other lithium batteries (e.g., new lithium batteries transported within the sales chain)
