Food Absorbent Pad

A food absorbent pad is an essential tool in food departments, designed for the effective absorption of liquids, particularly oily ones, which may be produced during food handling. This type of pad is certified for direct contact with food, ensuring safety and hygiene in the process.

Main Features:

-       Hydrophilicity: The pad is hydrophilic, meaning it has the ability to absorb and retain water within it, keeping the environment clean and safe.

-       Perforated Structure: The top surface of the pad is perforated, allowing for rapid and complete absorption of liquids produced by food. This design helps to retain liquids within the pad, thanks also to the bottom layer which has a high retention capacity.

-       Compliance with Regulations: The pad complies with European regulations regarding contact with food: Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004: Establishes requirements for materials and articles intended to come into contact with food products. Regulation (EC) No. 2023/2006: Establishes good manufacturing practices for materials and articles intended to come into contact with food products. Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011: Concerns plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food products (for film and adhesive). DM 21/03/73 and subsequent updates: Concerns paper and cardboard intended to come into contact with food.
